To do, or not to do?

I wonder if procrastination is learned or if it is genetic. Maybe a combination of the two, maybe I am genetically predisposed to being a procrastinator. If that is the case, what could be the benefit to that behavior. I don't waste energy and/or resources getting things done instead I leach off the efforts of others to survive. I guess from a survivalist view, there would be a benefit to doing only what is absolutely necessary. Wasting valuable energy on things that don't need to be done right now might be inefficient. At the same time it is immensely important to be prepared if one is to survive without depending solely on luck.
Then again it could be completely a learned activity, my whole life I have gotten by just fine waiting till the last moment. In ancient times maybe this activity would have been very problematic but in todays society one can get away with it just fine.
Well, time for class, so until next time.

Renaissance festivals

This past weekend I attended a Renaissance festival in southern Minnesota, I have to admit that it was my first time at such an advent and it was a different experience. It truly is difficult to explain, you see some people who must truly be delusional and think that they actually are from that time period. The people working there were interesting in their authentic to less than authentic costumes, like the guy working at the ax throwing booth who seemed to be stoned out of his mind and was trying to tell us about someone who hit themselves in the head with an ax earlier that day. There were also some very cool people there that had the ability to create some amazing crafts using, mostly, techniques developed hundreds of years ago. A good example of this was watching the glass blower, there were also handmade weapons, costumes, an other wares that were amazing (and over priced). The food stands seemed more contemporary but that was OK there were plenty of other things to do and see. The King of the Log game was fun to watch, these two kids stand on this log, each of them has a pillow case a quarter of the way full with sand, and they whack the hell out of each other until one of them falls off. I tried my hand at ax throwing, knife throwing, throwing stars, and archery. I wasn't good at any of it but still it was fun. I drank plenty of beer and got to watch all kinds of different people all in all it was a good time, a bit strange but fun.

I'm back

To all my loyal fans I am sorry it really has been too long. I haven't been anywhere and I has been OK. School and work have been great the only thing that has kept me from you is pure laziness. However I am working on this and hope to be less lazy in two months, that is just my goal there is no good reason for that time period. The only obstacle I see to achieving this goal is that I am also a habitual procrastinator. Well wish me luck.

We need a new world order

So, just checking back in, it has been a while since I have contacted my people and I want to put the minds of all my loyal followers at ease. Fear not all is well in the great north woods and I am flourishing as always. I have missed you my people and will try more diligently to stay in contact from this point forward. Your standing orders, as always, are to create disruptions for the evil american government and do everything we can to completely destroy the guiding hand of the capitalist empire that is oppressing our people, all the people of the world. We need to remember that america is not evil but our government most certainly is. The capitalists with their death grip that they hold on our planet, destroying all manner of life, will bring a complete end to what we call earth if not stopped. So I say to all my people stand up and stop our oppressors we have the power, we have the numbers, we can see through their tools of oppression, we can put an end to the gluttony, poverty, senseless violence, and pollution. If we don't do it then we are all doomed. I SAY REVOLUTION, NOW STAND WITH ME.

Summer Time Makes Me Feel Fine

At last I finished my last final today and I have to say that a feeling of relief has swept over my mind and the calm is starting to return. Now I will begin my summer ritual with the traditional Bemidji festivities; a kegger. My plans for the upcoming glorious summer should involve motorcycles, boats, and beers. What is it about warm weather, green plants, and blue skies that makes people want to get drunk and drive fast? Not that those two things should be done together that has proven to be problematic to say the least. To all my loyal fans I wish to you three months of drunken bliss with minimal interaction with law enforcement.

In The Beginning

Well I may be a little late to the game, so I will just need to catch up. From time to time I plan to post some sort of rant or any thought that comes to me. To start I would like to take about the morons that keep complaining about the gas prices while they go fill up their gas devouring four wheel drive vehicles with large tires that they only use to pick up groceries providing that it isn't raining. The easiest way for a consumer to effect pice is by changing our demand. If we are unwilling to change our demand then we do not have the right to complain about gas prices. It is ridiculous to use these vehicular monstrosities for such trivial tasks. It is just plain foolishness, and what is the main reason given for using these oversized vehicles. Most of the time I hear people say that they feel safer on the road, but what is the danger that they are trying to avoid, other idiots that feel they need to drive around in their highway monsters. This seems to be a complete waste of our resources based on the fear of people acting the same way we do. If we all drove smaller more efficient cars we could avoid many problems.
